Terms of Service
Draft, version 2026-09-23. This text has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. Items in [brackets] are placeholders. It applies to the hosted service at syrup.syedsarib.com, not to the open-source code, which is under the MIT license.
1. Who we are
syrup is operated by [Legal entity or full name], [address], [country] ("syrup", "we"). Contact: sadakhan2002@gmail.com.
2. What syrup is
syrup is a hosted coding agent. You sign in with a Google account, connect API keys for AI model providers of your choice, point syrup at a code repository, and an AI agent reads, writes and runs code in an isolated environment on your behalf. syrup routes requests between your providers, keeps a record of your sessions, and shows you what each session used and cost.
3. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent where you live, if higher) to use syrup.
- Access is by invitation during the current phase. We may add or revoke invitations at any time.
- You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Keep your Google account secure.
- One person per account. Team and organization accounts may come later under separate terms.
4. Your content and your keys
- Your code, prompts, files and outputs are yours. You grant us only the rights needed to run the service for you: to store, process, transmit and display them to you and to the model providers you connected.
- Provider API keys you add are encrypted and used only to make requests you initiate through syrup. Your use of each provider is also governed by that provider's own terms and pricing. You pay the providers directly; syrup does not bill you for model usage.
- Research use of your conversation content is never part of these Terms. It happens only if you separately turn on the Research Data Consent in Settings, and you can turn it off at any time. See the Privacy Policy.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use syrup to:
- break the law, or infringe anyone's rights;
- attack, probe or overload syrup, other users, or third parties (the agent runs commands; you are responsible for what you ask it to do);
- mine cryptocurrency, run unrelated workloads, or resell access;
- circumvent invitation, isolation, or rate limits;
- upload malware or content you have no right to process.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
6. The AI agent
The agent is software driven by third-party language models. It makes mistakes. It can delete files, run destructive commands, and write insecure code. Review its work before relying on it. Keep backups and use version control. You decide what it may run.
7. Availability, changes, and beta status
syrup is in early access. It may be unavailable, change, or lose data without notice while we build it. We do our best to keep your data safe and to announce breaking changes, but we make no availability commitment during this phase.
8. Fees
The hosted service is currently free of charge. If we introduce paid plans we will announce them in advance and never charge you without your explicit agreement. Donations, if we accept them, are voluntary and non-refundable.
9. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Settings; see the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data. We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these Terms or if we discontinue the service, with reasonable notice where possible.
10. Disclaimers and liability
syrup is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of syrup or the agent's actions. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for consumers under mandatory consumer-protection rules.
11. Third parties
syrup depends on third-party services (hosting, database, analytics, sign-in, model providers). Their availability and terms are outside our control. The current list of subprocessors is in the Privacy Policy.
12. Open source
The syrup software is published at https://github.com/SyedSaribSultan/syrup under the MIT license. These Terms cover the hosted service only.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect, and we will ask you to accept the new version on your next sign-in. The version you accepted is recorded in your account.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction], without affecting mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence. Disputes go to the courts of [jurisdiction], unless mandatory law gives you the right to your local courts.
